Rachel Ball
Featured Vocalist

Rachel Ball met Martini Max in January of 1998. Later that spring, she introduced Max to her good friend Steve Garber, who would go on to play sax and clarinet for Martini Max and the Swing Kats. The next spring, she met Aaron Street while doing volunteer work at his high school. Upon learning that he played the drums, she introduced him to Max, and the band finally had its sixth member. In the summer of 1999, Rachel lent to the organization of shows and the production of the first CD. She also first sang with the band that summer. In summer 2000, to help Max, who at the time was bearing almost the full burden of the business end of the band, Rachel took on half of the managerial, promotional, booking, and organizational responsibilities for MMSK. She also began singing more often as a "Featured Vocalist." Currently, Rachel is 20 years old, and is attending her third year of college at the University of California, Davis. She is majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Human Development and Education. Rachel plans to work with children, most probably as a teacher.
